Recognizing Women

Women of Distinction

As an organization dedicated to helping young girls grow strong in courage, confidence and character, the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore feels it is vital to recognize adult leaders who demonstrate these qualities in their everyday lives.

Through its Women of Distinction and Women of Achievement events, the council honors role models whose contributions to the community, both professionally and personally, lead to a better quality of life in Monmouth and Ocean counties.

The 2009 Women of Achievement and Women of Distinction all can be classified as overachievers who can’t say no to sharing their time and talents. From starting a local chapter of Habitat for Humanity to making a difference in the lives of 16,500 girls, each of these dynamic women has a unique story to tell.
